Graduation 2009
by Stephen Keith Sagarin, PhD, Faculty Chair - 02 Jul 2009

The Great Barrington Waldorf High School announces the graduation of its third class of seniors, the Class of 2009. Graduation ceremonies took place June 7 at the Kellogg Music Center, Simon’s Rock College of Bard.

The five seniors are Ari Meyerowitz, Great Barrington; Conor Gallagher, Mistral Louw, and Eliot Stier, Alford; and Michael Graeff, Pittsfield.

Teacher Leslie Svilokos addressed the graduates and Faculty Chair Stephen Sagarin, Ph.D., presented them with their diplomas.

Gallagher will attend Vassar College, N.Y., next fall, where he intends to pursue a major in economics and play baseball. Graeff has enlisted in the U.S. Army and will attend Airborne Ranger schools following basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. Louw and Meyerowitz plan to travel internationally and work before beginning their college educations. Stier will attend Chapman University, California. He is interested in both economics and zoology.

This past May, seniors presented their internships at the American Legion Post Hall in Sheffield. Gallagher interned with the Pittsfield Police; Graeff, with Clark and Green Architects, Great Barrington; Louw with Harney & Sons Tea Company, Millerton, N.Y.; Meyerowitz at the Walter J. Kolodza Airport, Great Barrington; and Stier at DG Media, Los Angeles.
